It had big zinc doors that kept out prying eyes.My dad used to drive me there in the mornings until he hired an old eurasian trishawman by the name of Puteh to take me there. It was fun riding the trishaw as there would be 5 boys,3 on the seats and 2 straddling the wheels. We'd take turns as to who had to seat where.I remember,I won a competition and had first choice of prizes on display. They were all boxed and I picked the biggest box , me being greedy i suppose! It turned out to contain rocks!! It was a lesson to the children that nothing is what it seems on the outside ( and not be greedy). They had a good laugh and gave my a bow and arrow set which i spent many a happy hour taking pot shots at birds back in my house in Botanic gardens ( also rented and still standing today!)without much success!stephenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00978011054470200884noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6871598845038438285.post-8406809434368546662009-08-02T13:24:10.426+08:002009-08-02T13:24:10.426+08:00i think these old memory should retain as the cult...i think these old memory should retain as the culture heritage...
