Simpang Ampat flooded

Bad news this morning. Bandar Mutiara in Simpang Ampat was flooded. At about 2am or 3am this morning, water gushed down from somewhere, overflowed the stream and flooded the roads in this area. Because it happened in the middle of the night, many of the residents did not realise it until this morning. But it was already too late. The flood waters had entered some houses. What rotten luck to wake up in the morning to find your house in a lake of water. What happened to the flood mitigation plan there? I thought the government had already put it into place in the past two or three years? Apparently now. The sand bunds had still not been replaced by concrete ones and they burst during the heavy downpour.
