Firecrackers: don't they ever learn??

Every year, we read the same sorry tales in the newspapers about young kids getting injured through playing with home-made firecrackers during the pre-festive period. I'm sure this young boy in Kuala Terengganu won't be the last in the long line of injuries.

Don't they ever learn the dangers of playing with home-made firecrackers? Don't their parents ever learn that they must teach their children not to play with home-made firecrackers? Sigh ... you cannot blame the children. You gotta blame the irresponsible parents.
