RPK detained under ISA

Raja Petra Kamaruddin has been detained under the Internal Security Act, said his wife Marina Lee Abdullah. Malaysiakini quoted her saying that 10 police personnel came to their home in Sungai Buloh at about 1.10pm to arrest him. Only days earlier, Home Minister Syed Hamid Albar had hinted that Raja Petra could be charged under the ISA for comments allegedly insulting Islam and Prophet Muhammad. This is the second time Raja Petra, a father of five and part of the Selangor royal family, has been detained under ISA, which allows for indefinite detention without trial.

UPDATE (2.45pm): It's now been widely reported by thestaronline, nstonline (brief only), The Malaysian Insider and numerous prominent bloggers: Anil Netto, Nathaniel Tan, Susan Loone, Haris Ibrahim, among others.

UPDATE 2 (11.20pm): Malaysiakini and The Malaysian Insider now report that there is a second ISA arrest with Sin Chew Daily journalist Tan Hoon Cheng taken from her home in Bukit Mertajam at 8.30pm this evening to the Penang police headquarters on the island. Reporters and activists are now crowding the headquarters building to give her moral support. During the Permatang Pauh by-election, she had reported that now-suspended local Umno chieftain Ahmad Ismail had allegedly said that Chinese Malaysians are “squatters” in the country. Will the Police also invite Ahmad Ismail to Kamunting as well?

UPDATE 3 (11.45pm): It's getting more bizarre and it's going to be a long night. The Star, Malaysiakini and The Malaysian Insider now report that even DAP's Member of Parliament for Seputeh, Teresa Kok, has been picked up under ISA at 11.20pm. Why?? What did she do?
