Nasi kunyit

I finally had my fill of nasi kunyit today. Saw it on sale at the market. What is important about this speciality dish is that the glutinous rice must be of consistent quality: soft yet sticky. This one was acceptable, but I didn't see any pepper corn in the rice. Should be there. As for the chicken curry and potato, well, my family cooks it better. But what to do? When you are craving for nasi kunyit and the family's not cooking it, you have to accept what's available from the shops or the market.

Anyway, this superbly coloured dish of yellow rice is dedicated to all true supporters of free and fair elections throughout the country. Either you believe in free and fair elections or you don't. There are no two ways about this.
