The 15th of July was to be our last day at Mulu. As there was nothing in our itinerary that morning before checking out from the national park headquarters, we spent the morning doing our own limited exploration of the area. We got back onto the same boardwalk that took us to the Deer and lang's caves on the first day, but then took a detour to go round their Botanic Trail. Unfortunately, we never got round to do the complete trail and we then decided to climb the Tree Top Tower.
But first at breakfast, we noticed that the jetty was starting to fill up with colourful longboats waiting for their first fares that would be visiting the Cave of the Winds and the Clearwater Cave.
