Chess @ Hanoi SEA Games, Round 6

The situation continues to perplex me. In this afternoon's sixth round, Yeoh Li Tian and his opponent agreed to a quick draw after barely eight minutes into the game. Why?? In the last three rounds, I think he has spent barely two hours, maybe even less than an hour, on the whole at the chess board. Is this some sort of Grand Strategy to secure the gold medal from behind? Please enlighten me, someone.

On the other hand, it looks possible that Li Tian is also aiming for his final grandmaster title norm in this competition at the same time. I sure hope that he can attain it. If my memory is correct, there were two missed chances before the Covid-19 pandemic and now with the pandemic having become an endemic and over-the-board chess has resumed, I am hoping that Li Tian's chess ambition can finally be realised. I'm sure he has his team of experts in Vietnam to advise him properly.
