Saying hello from Parliament House
We followed SAMENTA Penang, a regional trade association for small and medium-sized enterprises in the northern region, on a courtesy visit to Parliament House. Our day began with a morning briefing session from Liew Chin Tong and three other Members of Parliament. Afterward, we were taken on a tour of the Parliament building itself, including the Upper House of Senate. Outside the Lower House of Representatives, we met a Deputy Speaker and some others before being escorted inside to watch about 15 minutes of the parliamentary proceedings. When the MPs left the Dewan, we felt like groupies at a music concert, eagerly approaching them for pictures, which they were happy to oblige.
