Even vixens want to look beautiful

I'm taking a bit of editorial liberty here but no self-respecting woman, young or otherwise, should know better than to call herself or her business by this unusual name: V Xen. What's the big deal, you may ask?

Well, I saw this signboard in Bukit Mertajam this morning. In this first place, it's quite obvious that the proprietor doesn't know the difference between a Salon and a Saloon. But more importantly, what an inappropriate name for the shop! The women on the signboard look like vixens, all right. Vixens ... the Hor Leen Cheen (literally, female fox spirit, like in the Monkey Goes West stories).

For the uninitiated, the dictionary says this about vixen:

1. A female fox
2. an ill-tempered or quarrelsome woman
