Sin Chew reporter freed

It's good news that Sin Chew reporter Tan Hoon Cheng has been released and back in Bukit Mertajam after being taken on a ling liong sek trip to Kuala Lumpur and back! That's 16 hours.

I think the explanation by the Home Minister, Syed Hamid Albar, really takes the cake. What sort of warped intelligence is there in this man who claimed that Tan was detained under the ISA because
"we received information that her life was under threat." If a person's life is threatened, do you protect the person by arresting him or her?

What, lah!
