Japan, Day 7: A Kyoto lunch

When we arrived at the Kyoto main train station on the 28th of October in 2017, the first thing we did was to find something to eat and for this, my son led us to the Kyoto Tower Sando where we discovered a most delectable spread of Japanese sushi and sashimi at a food outlet there. We quite enjoyed ourselves there; perhaps we did spend too much time eating and watching a chef carve up some blocks of tuna fish because we then had to hurry through the rest of our brief itinerary in this Japanese city.

And this is the video of a chef expertly carving up a slab of tuna. There's lots of wastage in order for him to keep the tuna pieces neat and presentable. Unfortunately, these wastage pieces which I deem to be perfectly edible seemed to have ended up in a trash bin.
