Many happy 96th birthday wishes to my Headmaster

He was the Headmaster when I entered Penang Free School in 1966. However, because we were in the afternoon stream in Form One, he hardly interacted with us. Everything was left to the afternoon supervisor. It was only the following year when we moved to the morning stream that we saw enough of him. Very stern during our schooldays, I remember well the Monday morning assemblies when his approaching footsteps grew louder and louder as he neared the school hall.
