Hill rape

I'm really appalled by the destruction of our hills in and around Penang, all in the name of development. For instance, if you take the road to Bukit Mertajam and you stop at the traffic lights outside Perda, you'll see this denuded face of the Berapit hills in the distance:


And if you take the road to Bukit Tengah, you really cannot miss the wanton clearing of the little hill.


There are several other cases of hill clearing taking place but why must all these destruction of the environment take place? The more we chop down the trees and destroy the hills, the more we are contributing to the destruction of our beautiful earth. It must stop!
