Aerobus system for Penang?

Will we see one of these in Penang soon? It's a novel idea but it may just work to resolve the traffic mess on the island. A highly configurable aerobus system that glides silently on cables about 40m from the ground. (P.S. Just make sure the cables are strong enough. If the Penang Hill funicular train service - which is pulled by cables on the tracks - can malfunction, what more about cables dangling in the air and supporting the aerobus? Just make them bloody strong enough if such a system is implemented!)

This was proposed to the Penang government yesterday by Pinggiran Pelangi. It's capable of travelling at speeds of up to 100kph and a 12-coach system can carry up to 30,000 people in an hour. An appealing feature is that there's no need to construct heavy infrastructure to prop up the track. And the cable can even be laid beneath the Penang Bridge to connect the mainland and the island together! Pretty interesting and exciting. I hope the government can study into the proposal fast.
