Phono pre-amp
I'm thinking of buying this TCC TC-750LC phono pre-amp (USD62.50 including shipping) to boost up the signals from the turntable. When the CD player or the tape deck is connected to my amplifier, my listening level is set comfortably to the 9 o'clock mark on the volume control. But the line-in from turntables is notoriously lower and I've got to set the volume control to about 11 o'clock on the dial. Problem is, when I switch from phono to CD player in the middle of a song, sometimes I forget to lower the volume level and I tend to blow the roof off. So a phono pre-amp which will allow me to control the volume level will be most useful.
