An arm and a leg

Don't even think about ordering food for delivery to your room whenever you stay at hotels. You'll regret the Room Service, for sure, as you'll be paying an arm and a leg for the privilege. I was looking at the Room Service Menu of one of the prominent hotels in Kuala Lumpur recently and I almost fell off my chair when I saw the exorbitant prices charged for ordinary hawker food.


Why, for one plate of their Penang Char Koay Teow, I can have 10 plates of the same in Bukit Mertajam, with some shillings returned as spare change. The same goes for Cantonese Hor Fun or KL Curry Laksa and the rest of the stuff in their menu.
