Convent school at Cameron Highlands
This is the Convent Primary School at Tanah Rata in Cameron Highlands. It occupies one of the oldest colonial buildings in the country, starting out as a British army hospital before it was converted into a school in 1971. Almost everyone in Tanah Rata could claim it as their alma mater. As you approach the school from the main road, there's a small open-air chapel nearby.
It is probably one of the few remaining Convent schools in Malaysia where Mass is still conducted in the English language.
The school lies on a ridge overlooking Tanah Rata town and its main road. From the garden, one looks down onto an impressive wide open vista.
