At best, it's pure nonsense. At worst, it's a denial, again, by the Najib regime. I'm referring to Health Minister Liow Tiong Lai's statement that the Tung Shin Hospital was not caught in the water cannon and tear gas crossfire between the armed riot police and the unarmed Bersih 2.0 participants on 9 July 2011.
Among some of the ludicrous things he said: "Demonstrators should not ambush the hospital," "The wind may have blown smoke from the tear gas into the hospital," "The edge of the water from the water cannon may have entered the hospital" and "Don't cite whatever pictures or videos again."
Aiyah, all these go against common sense or visual evidence. Demonstrators should not ambush the hospital? Hey, they were like little animals fleeing and scurrying away from the attacks, okay? The hospital was just a building to them. I'm sure they didn't purposely use a hospital for hiding. Huh, perhaps with hindsight, the hospital should have known better than to have been built there in the first place. Then this problem would not have arisen.
There are also numerous evidence in YouTube that do not suggest that tear gas was not fired into the compound or only the edge of the water had entered the hospital. Can't be the wind. It must have been a tornado. But funny, I didn't know we live in a tornado zone. Here are two such videos. Question: As the evidence mounts up, is it that difficult to admit a mistake?
